Antony Murigu

Antony is a serial entrepreneur and investor with 25 years of experience in business strategy, operational efficiencies, and strategic execution. Through his venture firm, he has provided guidance and invested in the seed round or Series A in start-ups in the US, UK and frontier markets that are currently generating over $100MM in revenue per year. He has served as an active board member and/or Chairman for the majority of his investments. Beyond his role as venture capitalist and entrepreneur, Antony is a trusted advisor to NGOs, non-profits, political advocacy organizations and policy makers in the finance and health care space.

Sheldon Owen

Sheldon is a 20-year technology executive and proven entrepreneur. He has spent his entire career working in the technology industry specifically focused on marketing intelligence, social media, digital advertising, digital publishing and other related industries. He has extensive financial and operational experience, and has been intricately involved in fund raising, start-ups, growth companies, and M&A transactions. Sheldon is the Founder and Chairman of Unified, a leading enterprise marketing technology and big data analytics company that manages over $300mm in digital advertising budgets for global brands such as Microsoft, AT&T, AB/Inbev, Honda, Toyota, and Universal/NBC. As CEO of Unified, Sheldon successfully raised over $70mm in venture financing and increased its valuation from zero to $250mm within 48 months. Sheldon has worked with Facebook as a certified partner since 2008 and is an industry expert on social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. Sheldon is also a recognized public speaker and advisor to some of the world’s largest hedge funds on the $200 billion digital advertising and social media industries.

Shawn Douglass

Shawn has 20 years of experience building big data and cloud analytics platforms. Most recently Shawn was the CTO and President of Software for Unified.com, where he architected Unified’s marketing intelligence platform and enterprise cloud solution. Prior to Unified Shawn was Managing Director at EMC Ventures, where he managed all strategic investments in Big Data/Analytics, Cloud Platforms, Security and Disruptive Technologies. Prior to his role at EMC Ventures, Shawn led the Advanced Technology Ventures Group in the Office of the CTO for EMC, which sold to Dell for $1.7 billion. Shawn was also CTO of ServiceMesh, an enterprise cloud platform that sold to CSC in 2013 for $300mm.

Jim McVeigh

Investment Advisor

Mr. McVeigh has more than 20 years of investment banking experience at Salomon Brothers, DLJ, Credit Suisse and most recently Bank of America/ Merrill Lynch where he ran the Technology, Media and Telecom banking group. Among others, Mr. McVeigh has advised Ancestry.com, AOL.com, eBay, Expedia, Exponential, FaceBook, Glam, GSI Commerce, Getty Images,Google, Kynetic, LinkedIn, Monster, Opentable, Priceline, QuinStreet, Rubicon, SurveyMonkey, Synacor, TripAdvisor, Weather.com, Yahoo, and Zynga. Mr. McVeigh earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Columbia University School of Business. Mr. McVeigh also served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.
